FLF Hosts Lunch and Learn for PVN Residents Post date July 21, 2023 Compassionate hospice care plays a vital role in supporting individuals and their families during a challenging time. On Friday, July 14, the Forefront Living Foundation (FLF) hosted an educational Lunch and Learn for 30 Presbyterian Village North (PVN) residents, providing the opportunity to hear about the wonderful services offered by Faith Presbyterian Hospice (FPH), tour the serene campus of the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center (TBPHC) and the Child and Family Bereavement Center all while learning more about the fundraising efforts of FLF. Joni Watson, Forefront Living’s Director of Business Development, opened the program with a warm resident welcome and introduced Danette Muzic, FPH Executive Director. Danette shared details about the extraordinary care and unique services provided by her team. She also provided a general overview of hospice care, patient qualifications and the distinguishing factors allowing FPH to stand apart from other providers. Danette concluded her informative presentation with a question-and-answer session. Additionally, Sarah Jones, FLF Philanthropy Coordinator, spoke about the critical role FLF plays in supporting FPH by raising funds for the Faith Caring Fund. The Faith Caring Fund provides benevolent care for unfunded patients and specialized programming and comfort therapies referred to as the “Faith Difference.” Last year, donor gifts to the fund provided nearly 4,000 days of benevolent hospice care to unfunded patients. Sarah encouraged PVN residents to consider supporting FPH by volunteering their time at the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center, attending the 2023 Each Moment Matters Luncheon or by making a donation.
