Meet the 2024 Each Moment Matters Luncheon Co-Chair: Katie Townend Doherty Post date March 1, 2024 Katie, originally from Dallas, Texas, has traversed the globe, calling Arizona, Washington DC, Milan, Italy and Seville, Spain home at various stages of her life. Passionate about yoga, mahjong, hosting gatherings, painting and running along the Northaven Trail, she finds joy in an array of activities – especially spending time with her family. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona, a master’s in international relations from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, Italy and an MBA from Northwood University in Texas. Katie is also fluent in Spanish. Katie exchanged vows in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, with Neal Doherty. The couple are proud parents to three children: Perry Kate (11), Vivienne (8) and Callan (2 ½). Dedicated to education, mental health and wellness, Katie serves on the board of directors for The Concilio, championing opportunities for Latinos in Dallas. She is also actively involved with the Grant Halliburton Foundation and volunteers her time at The Hockaday School. Driven by her mother’s influence as a teacher, Katie pursued a career in education and has been an integral part of The Hockaday School for the past 15 years. There she oversaw the marketing efforts, event planning, student and parent ambassador programs and the Upper School admission process. In June, she will embark on a new role as Director of Advancement at the Compass School of Texas in Dallas. Katie is excited to co-chair the upcoming Each Moment Matters Luncheon and expresses gratitude for the impactful connections she has made through Forefront Living. She views end-of-life care with the same tenderness as caring for an infant, believing that individuals receiving care from Forefront Living’s entities deserve the utmost love and attention.
