I’ve met many great individuals over the past year—beginning with my teammates and board members as well as donors and supporters who are passionate about our work. I am constantly in awe of how many lives we touch! I want our cause to stay at the forefront of people’s minds, which leads to success. What makes you feel proud?I am proud that I transformed a marketing and advertising career into service to others in the non-profit world. This was a surprisingly easy transition for me, with more than a few God moments along the way. I am proud of my ongoing volunteer service and the positive impact that has made throughout the community. On the weekend, you can find me:On the weekend, you can find me catching up on numerous errands, having lunch with my mom (she is 83), hanging out with Bob, my fiancé, or enjoying an evening out with our friends. In the fall, you can find me cheering for the University of Texas and Southern Methodist University football teams. I love to shop, whether for groceries, gifts or clothes – I just love it! I hit Central Market early on the weekend because the produce hasn’t been handled yet and it looks amazing. On Sunday mornings, Bob and I attend Mass at Christ the King Catholic Church. My favorite foods/restaurants include:My favorite foods and restaurants include French cuisine (Bilboquet, Toulouse and Knox Bistro) and Mexican (Mi Cocina and Javier’s). I also enjoy dining at The Mercury and Café Pacific. My favorite dishes to order are a medium rare filet mignon with frites, lobster anything, quiche or a good taco salad for lunch. While I am not a sweets person, the chocolate pecan ball at Café Pacific is my all-time favorite dessert! Tell us about your hobbies:I enjoy experimenting with different recipes, dining at new restaurants and clay pot gardening. I love to travel and have a huge bucket list of places to visit. Going to Iceland to see the Northern Lights is at the top of my list! Tell us about your family:I grew up in Dallas and am so lucky to have my mom, Chantal, as a large part of my life. My dad passed away in 2001 and I miss him every day. The rest of my family includes my stepdad John, my sister Sophie, brother-in-law Lonny and nephew Jack. Jack will graduate from Dartmouth College in June and will return to Dallas in August. Bob is the love of my life and we have been together for 24 years. Although we don’t have children together, I get to enjoy his grown children, daughter JJ and her daughter Jenna, and son Reagan and his daughter, Kaylin. How would your friends describe you?I believe my friends would say that I am a friend who listens and doesn’t judge or advise. If you have a secret, it is safe with me.
