A Legacy of Care: EMM Letter Signing

The spirit of generosity was on full display as Lora Farris and Susan Farris, 2025 Each Moment Matters (EMM) Luncheon Co-Chairs, hosted a special volunteer happy hour for members of the 2025 EMM Host Committee. Held at the home of longtime luncheon supporters and this year’s EMM Presenting Sponsors, Cathy and Bill Davis, the gathering offered an opportunity for connection, preparation and personalization. While signing letters and socializing, guests enjoyed an evening filled with wine, light bites and conversation. The evening wasn’t all just cocktails and conversation, the attendees were gathered to sign more than 700 EMM Underwriting letters, scheduled to hit mailboxes mid-April. These letters serve as vital tools in securing financial support that powers the impact of the EMM Luncheon.

This year’s Host Committee is comprised of more than 100 members, each bringing their individual passion and dedication to the mission of Faith Presbyterian Hospice (FPH). Under the leadership of mother-daughter duo Lora and Susan Farris, this year’s committee embraced a meaningful new tradition. Lora and Susan invited mothers to include their adult daughters and daughters-in-law in this important cause by serving on the Host Committee together. This multi-generational approach added a personal touch to the event, welcoming the next generation to embrace the cause of compassionate end-of-life care and the mission to make each moment matter.

Mark your calendar for the 2025 Each Moment Matters Luncheon, featuring actor Joe Lando as keynote, on Thursday, October 16, at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, and consider donating to the cause. Together, we will honor lives, celebrate legacies and support the compassionate care provided by FPH. For more information about the luncheon please contact Sarah Jones, Philanthropy Officer, at (214) 355-9584.
