Bella Vida VIP Coterie Celebrates Women Who Served

To celebrate International Women’s Day, Bella Vida’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Sally Casey, hosted a special luncheon, “VIP Coterie: Women Who Served,” at Mae Dunne’s restaurant, honoring six female veterans who will soon call Bella Vida home. The group included VIPs Mary Fay, U. S. Air Force, Medical Environmental Health, Janet Gilliam, U.S. Air Force, Overseas Supply, Elia Keck, U.S. Air Force, Nurse Corps, Cappy Rodriguez, U.S. Army Adjutant General’s Office, Maggie Scheuch, U.S. Air Force, Nurse Corps and Rebecca Starbuck, U.S. Air Force, Operations Research.

These remarkable women, whose military service spanned a variety of roles, reflected on how their time in the service broadened their world views. Many shared an appreciation for the unique opportunity to live overseas and experience diverse cultures. At the conclusion of the lunch, Sally gifted each veteran a copy of the novel “The Women” by Kristin Hannah, a tribute to the women who served and sacrificed in the Vietnam War.

Sally shared, “Having been an Air Force brat myself, I thought I had a good understanding of military life. But hearing their stories and witnessing how they automatically connected to each other on such a deep level was impactful. Their dedication to our country was and is inspiring. True understanding only comes to those who served in our armed forces.”

Bella Vida is honored to celebrate these female veterans for their inspirational spirit of service!
