Forefront Living Joins Effort to Support California Wildfire First Responders Post date January 17, 2025 When disaster strikes, heroes emerge. To support these courageous first responders battling the devastating California wildfires, Forefront Living (FL) and each of its North Texas senior living communities, joined forces to reach out with compassion and creativity. Presbyterian Village North (PVN), The Outlook at Windhaven (OAW) and FL joined forces to deliver a message of hope and gratitude. Throughout the past week, residents and teammates came together to design heartfelt cards brimming with positivity. Each card carried a hand-drawn image and a meaningful message. Sentiments enclosed inside each card included messages like, “Your courage outshines the flames” and “Dallas loves, supports and thanks all First Responders” reflecting the deep admiration felt for these selfless heroes. This effort reflects the vision of Forefront Living: to empower individuals to thrive. As Forefront Living CEO, Tim Mallad, explained, “We believe resilience and compassion are contagious, and our community came together to spread that spirit.” The simple act of crafting cards is intended to show solidarity, reminding the first responders that their sacrifices are seen, valued and appreciated – even by those thousands of miles away. “It’s about opening hearts—ours and theirs—and showing that even from afar, we care deeply,” said Pam Altizer, PVN resident and artist, said. As these tokens of encouragement arrive in California next week, they will carry not only words but the warmth of a community united by compassion. by Wendy Van Bemmel ← Older Posts Newer Posts →
