Introducing DeShea Adams, FPH Director of Business Development

We are pleased to announce that DeShea Adams joined the Forefront Living (FL) team as Director of Business Development at Faith Presbyterian Hospice (FPH), where she works directly with the hospice liaisons to grow outreach. She joined the team in June and some of her responsibilities include visiting physicians as well as various facilities, hospitals and communities to remind them that FPH offers more than in-patient care. In her role, DeShea looks forward to growing the census and reaching even more individuals that would benefit from hospice services.

“I am honored and eager to share the wonderful home services that we provide to patients who have decided to forgo aggressive treatment. I feel that hospice is a taboo subject that few want to talk about, but patients and loved ones are so grateful when they receive the benefit. There is no greater privilege than partnering with a patient and their family during one of the most intimate times of their life – the journey home,” shared DeShea.

DeShea was born and raised in Plano, Texas, and attended the University of North Texas in Denton, where she studied marketing and sociology. Previously, she worked as an AirTran flight attendant and as a writer in the corporate office at Southwest Airlines. DeShea has four children. Her son, Devin, is 25 and recently married his college sweetheart. Her daughter, Alexis, is 20 and a fashion major attending New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). This summer, Alexis is working as an intern at Kleinfeld’s, a bridal store which gained notoriety from the TV show Say Yes to the Dress. Her two youngest daughters, Camille and Ryan, both 17 years old, are headed to Texas A&M University in College Station this fall. Camille plans to attend medical school in the future, while Ryan, who graduated from high school a year early, intends to study chemistry. This means DeShea and her husband, Byron, will soon be empty nesters! In her free time, DeShea loves to explore boutiques and new restaurants, listen to live jazz music and cheer on the Dallas Cowboys.
